Mr. Michael Jhin, named as Center for Houston's Future Interim President and CEO, served for 14 years as the CEO of St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System and was named CEO Emeritus following his retirement on 2004. Jhin was the youngest CEO ever, of an academic medical center in the United States, at age 33. He is a leader in advocating fuller community stewardship, and believes in both mission performance and corporate performance.
Michael Jhin was a graduate of the Center for Houston’s Future original Business/Civic Leadership Forum class in the Fall of 2000. Since the inaugural Forum, more than 960 business leaders from across the region have graduated from the program.
As part of the Forum engagement, Jhin helped spearhead the launch of Greater Houston Health Connect to provide an electronic health record for every citizen in the Houston region through a health information exchange.
